Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Oh, Theodore Geisel
drew quite a fine cat,
A cat with a hat,
Just imagine that!
He wrote many books
for me and for you
and created some creatures
Like Horton and Whos.
He put foxes in sockses,
turned breakfast eggs  green,
His books make us laugh,
If you know what I mean.
And today it's his birthday,
So today, let's all read
a book in his honor
'cause that's quite a fine deed.
Celebrate Dr. Seuss and celebrate reading,
A good story is truly
what everyone's needing!

Happy Birthday, Theodore Geisel...
Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

The format below suggests asking two questions a day throughout the week; however, you DO NOT have to do it this way.  You could assign two students one question, give this as week-long homework, etc.  I just provided this format because we have used it in the past.

MONDAY

Who eats their bread butter side down?

What was the name of the King in Bartholomew and the Oobleck?

TUESDAY

What is Marvin K. Mooney asked to do?

In One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, how many humps are on Mr.

Gump's Wump?

WEDNESDAY

What is the first thing that Gerald McGrew would do if he ran the zoo?
